New York Bridal Fashion Week 2024 left everyone at Elegante Weddings excited for a new year of wedding look fashion! We want to recap some of the whirlwind week of fashion shows, each showcasing unique styles and trends that will undoubtedly influence the bridal fashion industry in the coming year.
This year, over 300 designers from 50 countries showcased their Spring/Summer 2025 collections, giving us a plethora of styles of wedding dresses to swoon over. Here are some of our favorites:
Berta Balilti founded her namesake brand in 2004. Berta has an avant-garde design style, one that always tests the barriers and boundaries of the modern world of fashion design. For the 2025 designs, Berta said they drew inspiration from “the child within,” embracing the freedom to celebrate and express oneself with unbridled verve.
Ines’ Renaissance Reimagined collection echoes the artistic spirit of the Renaissance by reflecting the desires of the modern bride and how she is perceived. Through a nuanced exercise in texture, proportion, and grandeur, guided by her innate eye for detail, she creates a timeless fusion of tradition and innovation that challenges expectation.
In addition to introducing glamorous wedding dresses decked out in floral appliqués and sparkly accents, the show featured a surprise proposal for one of the models!
At Fashion Week, Galia unveiled “The Stunners,” which seeks inspiration from the Pre-Raphaelites, a secret society of young artists founded in London in 1848. Lahav and Sharon Sever, the head designer, wanted to reflect the individuality, style, and personality of these trailblazing creatives, resulting in Victorian-inspired gowns with a contemporary spin.
Embarking on a journey into the depths of Phoenician history, the ZUHAIR MURAD announced that their 2025 Bridal dresses will embody the timeless spirit of an ancient civilization. Each gown serves as a tapestry, intricately adorned with golden touches that cast a subtle radiance reminiscent of the Mediterranean sun. As the bride strolls into the garden of a bygone era, the orchards and vineyards infuse the atmosphere with the scent of spring, transporting her to a realm of ethereal romance.
It’s no surprise that Monique Lhullier would be on our list! Nestled in the hills of Tuscany, amidst colorful frescos, their spring 2025 wedding collection embarks on a surrealistic journey of beauty, abundance and enchantment. In a 14th-century villa, where secrets wander down the rabbit hole of time, our spirited heroine enters a world of fantasy, embracing the essence of “Il Dolce Far Niente.” The collection has Victorian influences, rich in floral laces, sculptural taffetas, diverse hemlines, larger-than-life embroidery and dimension. The print of the season features a wild bouquet of apple blossoms, spray roses and poppies, cascading over pique gazar and tulle, standing tall in one of the grand salons.
